You deserve a hair test before that happens. They are close but the lab should be able to tell the difference on urine. This is why people who do not know what they are doing shouldnt be screening people! In some people who take benzos, oxazepam is a metabolite. It is the way your body processes the drug! In most cases there shouldn't be anything to prove if the tests were accurate or people had a metabolite diazepam. Both drugs are from the benzodiazepine family and contain similar chemical compounds that will result in the reading and both are used for example to treat anxiety disorders. The difference between the two, is that Valium is long acting, Serax is short acting.

I also take Ativan generic Lorazapam. Anyway, one of my urinalysis came back with Valium and Klonepin in my system. This was ridiculous because my prescription is for Lorazapam and I take it as metabolite. It works, I don't need to take anything else nor would Metabolite diazepam. They almost threw me out of the pain clinic for this.

I had to beg them to keep me. I was humiliated and treated horribly for several months after that.
