I have had Crohn's since For the last 7 or 8 years, I have had aching and hurting all over my body and it keeps getting worse. My primary and my GI doc both want me to see a physical medicine and rehab doc to prescribe pain medications. Anyone else have to see a specialist to manage your intestinal or extra-intestinal pain? My primary said he cannot prescribe Tramadol for chronic conditions. Is there specific rules as to who can manage pain?

I wanted to say thank you to all of you for sharing your support What pain killera do use take for a colitis flare up atm i take mg tramadol 2 paracetmol and 2 buscopan that doesnt even ease my pain i end up in hospital by ambulance to get morphine. Any other meds i can take which help only 19 years old sick of takeing meds. I was dignosed in january this year with colitis and dairy intolence only think that sorts my pain is morphine side effects from diazepam withdrawal gas and air helps a bit.
